Just give me a configurable Teach Pendant that allow me to have my "top 20" activities on screen ALL THE TIME. We are expected to accept the choices of a "software Programmer" that probably never leaves the comfort of his/her armchair to join us in the real world.
Anyway, thanks for the effort so far guys, although somewhat misguided. Please talk to the people that use Teach Pendants every day.

| The new irb 5 controller is supposed to be cofigurable through vb to allow for what I believe you need. I have not yet tried, right now I am just trying to figure it out so that i can navigate as easily through it as the old one.

| The IRB5 controller is not configurable through VB. ABBs application for such configuration is ABB RobotStudio. This allows complete configuration of the controller including online rapid editing and debugging. For a trial period you can even try the 3D simulation program with import options for all your CAD models / tooling etc. VB can be used to act as a container for the old now to be discontinued ActiveX suit of controls for controller functions. This is still not suitable for controller configuration. The technology since 2005 for TPU configuration has been OOP programming using C#.net / VB.net etc. With application builder from ABB and a .net enviroment you can create user graphical screens for the TPU. Hope this brief response helps.
